Project: Brown Field Remediation research Facility
Critic: Laura Miller
Program: Multi level high security biological research facility, 20 acre brown field remediation landscape
Status: GSD Studio
This project explores the possibility of creating a deep section. Wherein the numerous overlays of program and landscapes enable the building to act as a critique on the defense industry politics of university research facilities. At grade the project acts as a benign brown-field education facility, as we move lower in section however, the program becomes increasingly secure and nefarious. In the lowest level the architecture is used to extract the most toxic pollutants in order to process them into biological weapons.
